U-18 Asia Cup Hockey: Bangladesh to face Malaysia tomorrow

DHAKA, July 12, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh will take on Malaysia in the 3rd/4th place-deciding match of the Men’s U-18 Asia Cup Hockey scheduled to be held at Dazhou National Hockey Training Centre in China tomorrow.

The match kicks off at 6.30 pm Bangladesh time. 

Bangladesh Men’s Hockey team earlier finished Pool A runners up to qualify for the semi-finals with three wins and one defeat after beating hosts China by 5-2 goals, Hong Kong by 3-0 goals, Sri Lanka by 13-0 goals and conceding 3-6 goals defeat from favorite Pakistan.
The boys in red and green however suffered a 6-4 goal defeat to strong Japan in the first semi final. Malaysia also lost to Pakistan by a thrilling 4-3 in shootout in the second semis after the regulation time ended 3-3 draw.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh women’s hockey team will also face Kazakhstan in the 3rd/4th place-deciding match to be held on the same day at 6 pm Bangladesh time.
