We want to maintain winning streak against Nepal: GK coach

DHAKA, July 12, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh U-20 National Women's Football Team 
Goalkeeper (GK) Coach Masud Ahamad said they want to maintain winning streak 
against Nepal.

Bangladesh will take on Nepal in their second match of the SAFF U-20 Women's 
Championship scheduled to be held at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital 
tomorrow (Sunday).

"Actually we are not underestimating Nepal, rather we are taking all the 
participating teams as tough opponents ... Our aim is to become champion in 
the tournament giving maximum efforts. Nepal is a strong team and our main 
rival but we'll give our hundred percent against Nepal to win the match," 
said the goalkeeper coach through an audio message today (Saturday).

He said the girls focused on pool recovery in the morning and stretching 
session in the afternoon at the team hotel after the first match. They would 
also work for the Nepal match after watching a video session in the evening, 
the GK coach added.

Bangladesh captain Afeida Khandakar said: "We had a recovery session after 
the first match ... We'll sit with the coach in the video session ... After 
watching the video session, we'll work as the coach directs us for Sunday's 
match."

Asked about the target against Nepal, the Bangladesh captain said they want 
to beat Nepal in anyway and also upbeat to retain the tournament title.
