Bangladesh to take on Bhutan tomorrow

DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS)- Defending champions Bangladesh looking forward to continue their winning streak as they face lowly Bhutan in their third match of four-nation SAFF U-20 Women's Championship scheduled to be held at Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital tomorrow (Tuesday).

The match kicks off at 3 pm, which will be followed by the day's second match between Nepal and Bhutan that begins at 7 pm at the same venue.
 
Bangladesh dominated the league table with six points from two matches while Nepal bagged three points playing the same number of outings.

Earlier, the tournament favorite Bangladesh thrashed Sri Lanka by 9-1 goals and edged past Nepal by 3-2 goals. Nepal also made a winning start beating Bhutan by 6-1 goals in their opening match but suffered 2-3 to Bangladesh in their second match. 

Bangladesh will play their remaining matches against Bhutan on July 17, Sri Lanka on July 19 and then Nepal on July 21.

Only four teams-- Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka-- are 
participating in the sixth edition of the tournament. The team that tops the league table after a double round-robin will be crowned champion.
