DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS)- The 39th National Badminton Championship began at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the capital today (Monday).

Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam Bulbul formally inaugurated 
the meet as the chief guest, organised by Bangladesh Badminton Federation 
(BBF).

On the occasion, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) senior vice-president 
Imrul Hasan was present as special guest. 

BBF vice-president Tariqul Islam Chowdhury presided over the opening ceremony 
while its general secretary Raussel Kabir Sumon conducted the event.

A total of 457 shuttlers-- 377 of men's and 80 of women's-- from 92 teams 
including 63 districts, six divisions, three education boards, 10 
universities and equal number of associations are participating in the meet.
