DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS)—The BPL Governing Council (GC) of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today hosted a landmark open discussion session titled ‘BPL Players’ Mic’, bringing together some of the country's most experienced cricketers for an honest and constructive exchange on the future of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20.

National stalwarts Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mohammad Mithun, Anamul Haque Bijoy, and Zakir Hasan joined the session in person, while Najmul Hossain Shanto participated via video call, a BCB press release stated.

The cricketers shared first-hand insights on current challenges, potential improvements and ideas to further professionalise and globalise the league.

BPL Chairman Mahbubul Anam, BPL Secretary Nazmul Abedeen Fahim and Board directors and senior officials were also in attendance.

This initiative marks a significant step towards building a more inclusive and player-first structure for the BPL where decisions are shaped not just for the players, but with them.
