DHAKA, July 22, 2025 (BSS) - Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain today congratulated the Bangladesh cricket team for clinching the first ever T20 series victory against Pakistan.

He also congratulated the cricketers, support staffs and all stakeholders of the board for the memorable victory.

The Sports Adviser hoped that Bangladesh cricket team will maintain its winning streak and bring more laurels for the country.

Bangladesh, which won the first match by seven wickets, confirmed the series with a thrilling 8-run victory in the second game by defending a meager 133.

Having won the game, they took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. The third and final match is on Thursday as Bangladesh will look to sweep the series.

Jaker Ali Anik played a stubborn 48 ball-55 to guide side to a 133 before being all out in 20 overs on a sluggish wicket.

The bowlers, led by Shoriful Islam (3-17), Mahedi Hasan (2-25) and Tanzim Hasan Sakib (2-23) kept Pakistan at bay and eventually wrapped them up for 125 in 19.2 overs. Faheem Ashraf waged a lone battle to score 32 ball-51.
