BFF to appoint Saeid Khodarahmi as coach for Futsal team

DHAKA, July 23, 2025 (BSS)-The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in 
process of appointing Iranian-born Futsal trainer Saeid Khodarahmi as the 
coach of the Bangladesh Futsal team for the period of three months, said a 
press release.

The AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers will be held from September 20-24 in 
Malaysia. 

To select talented Futsal players (age range 18-35), a two-day trial was held 
at Shaheed Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on July 20-21 under the 
management of BFF.

A total of 1,138 players registered for the trial and 630 players 
participated in the trial over the two-day. Fifty three out of 630 players 
were initially selected. In the next step, 24 players will be selected and 
the final squad of 14 members will finalized.
 
The selection process for Futsal players from the trial was carried out by 
football coaches Alfaz Ahmed, Saifuzzaman Shamim and Rashed Chowdhury, and 
elite staffs of BFF Elite Football Academy.
