Swimmer Eny to begin World Aquatics Championships with freestyle event on Monday

DHAKA, July 25, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladeshi swimmer Eny Akter will kick off her World Aquatics Championships campaign with the 100m freestyle event scheduled for July 28.

She is also set to compete in the 50m freestyle event on August 2.

Another promising Bangladeshi swimmer, Samiul Islam Rafi, will take part in the 100m backstroke event on July 31, followed by the 50m backstroke on August 2.
The 22nd edition of the World Aquatics Championships, which began on July 11, will continue through August 3 in Singapore. 

This marks the first time a Southeast Asian country is hosting the prestigious global event.

More than 2,500 athletes from 205 countries are participating in this year's championship.
