DHAKA, July 27, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is likely to select at least three venues to host the upcoming NCL T20, a tournament that was appreciated by all stakeholders in the last season.

The BCB organized the tournament with only for local players to hone their skill ahead of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) last year in just one venue in Sylhet.

After the tournament served the local players well, this time they decided to expand the venues.

"Last year the tournament was organized hurriedly," BCB chief co-ordinator of programme Minhajul Abedin Nannu told the reporters here today.

"This time we chose three venues to host the second edition of the tournament. Tournament committee has already asked the grounds committee to select those three venues."

The itinerary of the tournament is yet to be revealed but it is highly likely to run from September 15 to October 4.

"As far as I am concerned, the NCL T20 will start from the second week of September," Minhajul said. 

Like the previous year, a total of eight teams--seven divisional cities and Dhaka Metro-will take part in the tournament. The tournament also got recognized as official T20 tournament.
