DHAKA, July 28, 2025 (BSS)- The National Kabaddi (men's and women's) championship, on the occasion of Festival of Youth 2025, is set to begin from tomorrow (Tuesday) with the participation of all sixty four districts of the country.

The National Kabaddi Championship has been divided into eight zones, with each zone comprising eight districts.

The zones have been named after the country's major rivers. The zones are Padma, Teesta, Brahmaputra, Karnaphuli, Rupsha, Dhansiri, Surma, and Madhumati.

Each zone has a designated venue for the matches. Bogura district has been selected as the venue for Padma zone, Rangpur for Teesta, Tangail for Brahmaputra, Cumilla for Karnaphuli, Jashore for Rupsha, Barishal for Dhansiri, Sylhet for Surma, and the Bangladesh National Kabaddi Academy in Gopalganj for Madhumati zone.

After the zonal stage, the winners from each zone will compete in the Inter-District Championship. The top four teams from the semifinals of that stage will join the services teams to participate in the National Championship.
