Eny finishes 92nd position, Rafi finishes 55th

DHAKA, Aug 2, 2025 (BSS) - Woman swimmer Mst Eny Akter finished 92nd position among the 104 participants in the women's 50m freestyle event of the World Aquatics Championships, which is now being held in Singapore.

In the 50m freestyle swimming events held today (Saturday), Eny finished the swim with a time of 31.39 seconds.
Meanwhile, promising swimmer Samiul Islam Rafi finished 55th position out of 63 participants in the men's 50m backstroke event with a time of 27.21 seconds.

The championship, which began on July 11 last, will continue until tomorrow (Sunday).

More than 2500 athletes from 205 countries are participating in the championship. Singapore is the first country in Southeast Asia to host the World Championship.
