DHAKA, Aug 3, 2025 (BSS)-The upcoming NCL T20 tournament is set to be held in
two venues, said BCB tournament committee chairman Akram Khan.

The tournament which was inaugurated last year was a success and it will
return for the second season in September. Only local players will take part
in the tournament that was also recognized as official T20.

The tournament that received positive feedback from both players and
officials, and was notably competitive throughout was held in just one venue
in Sylhet last year.

This year, Chattogram is confirmed as the venue of the tournament while the
second venue will be confirmed soon.

"The NCL T20 was a huge success last year and this kind of tournament is
important for us," Akram told the reporters.

"Our intention is to unveil better T20 players from this tournament and for
this, you need to give the players a competitive tournament."

He said: "The tournament is likely to be held in two venues. Chattogram is
confirmed so far while other will be confirmed soon. If we can offer better
facilities to players - be it financial support or quality pitches - then,
we'll keep moving forward."

Earlier, BCB's Chief Coordinator of Programs, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, had
informed that the tournament will be staged across three venues.

"Last year it was arranged in a very short time," he had said. "This time,
three venues have been proposed. The tournament committee requested three
grounds from the grounds committee, and they are proceeding accordingly"
