DHAKA, Aug 4, 2025 (BSS)- International Rating Chess competition, marking the 
July mass uprising, begins from Wednesday (August 6) at the Youth Tower of 
ICT Division, Shewrapara in the capital.

According to the FIDE August rating list, a total of 30 players, including 20 
of the country's top rated players and 10 (women, girls and emerging children 
and adolescents) players, nominated by the Bangladesh Chess Federation, will 
participate in this event.

The intending players have been asked to enroll their names online by 
tomorrow (Tuesday) with an entry fee of Taka 510.

A total cash prize of Taka one lakh will be given in this event, which will 
be held in a seven-round Swiss-league system.
