DHAKA, Aug 7, 2025 (BSS)—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) arranged a skill camp to prepare the players for the long cricket season.

Usually due to the hectic International season, the players hardly get any time to work on their technique and other aspects of game.

This time they got adequate time to work on their game after the month of August was left vacant following the postponement of the home series against India.

India were supposed to play a three-match ODI and as many T20 Internationals in their Bangladesh tour. However the tour is now postponed for a year.

Utilizing the off time, BCB arranged a fitness training and special camp that would be continued until the Netherlands series.

The fitness training camp had already started on Wednesday with the players spending day one exclusively in the gym. They had a gym session today also and will get two days rest on Friday and Saturday.

The BCB will conduct a fitness test on Sunday at National Stadium in Gulistan. However, the fitness training will continue till August 14 after which the players will work on their game under the supervision of various coaches.

After Dhaka phase of training, the players will move to Sylhet where they will set up another camp. Bangladesh in fact will play three-match T20 International against Netherlands in Sylhet.

After the Netherlands series, Bangladesh will travel to UAE to play in the Asia Cup.

The Bangladesh team will prepare them for the ODI and Test format after the Asia Cup.

The West Indies cricket team will visit Bangladesh in October-November for three ODIs and three T20Is. Bangladesh will end the 2025 with two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is against Ireland.
