DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS)-Bangladesh captain Liton Das wants his players to
face stern test and pressure against West Indies in the three-match T20
International series for the sake of their World Cup preparation.

Speaking to the reporters in a pre-match conference in Chattogram, Liton
said, he saw the three matches and three more against Ireland in the next
month as part of the World Cup preparation.

"Honestly speaking, I want our players to put under massive pressure in the
coming to series. I want them to be massively challenged," Liton said.

"We have three matches coming and next we'll play three more matches against
Ireland. We'll get those six matches ahead of the World Cup and I want us to
fall behind in every game. If we manage to come back from a dire strait, it
will be great for us."

He said, being challenged and facing pressure will help them asses their T20
readiness.

"I'm talking about challenges within the match. I want the bowlers to
perform well under pressure, batters to perform in any kind of situation," he
further said, adding that these experiences will help them prepare better for
T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

The T20 series against West Indies starts tomorrow (Monday) in Chattogram and
Bangladesh will then host Ireland for another three T20Is in November. These
are two scheduled T20 series ahead of next year's World Cup but a tri-nation
T20 series involving Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Sri Lanka is also under
discussion for early December.
