DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - Former Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Assistant General Secretary and former BNP lawmaker from Bhola-4 constituency Nazim Uddin Alam today said there is no alternative to the 'Sheaf of Paddy' in rebuilding Bangladesh under the leadership of BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

He said this while addressing a rally organized by the local BNP at Charfashion sadar upazila this afternoon.

Nazim Uddin Alam said restoration of democracy, establishment of the rule of law, and reinstatement of people's voting rights are now the demands of time, as outlined in BNP's 31-point reform plan.

He said, "There is no alternative to the 'Sheaf of Paddy' for building a new Bangladesh under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman. Everyone must work to ensure victory for the 'Sheaf of Paddy' in the upcoming election."

Calling upon the youth, the former MP said, the slogan -- 'The first vote of youth, for the Sheaf of Paddy'-- must reach every voter in Charfashion.

The rally, presided over by BNP leader Haji Aminul Islam, was also attended by district BNP leader Harun-or-Rashid and former Charfashion Upazila Jubo Dal unit president Ashraful Rahman Dipu Farazi, among others.

Thousands of leaders and activists from 21 unions of Charfashion upazila gathered in the town with colorful festoons, banners and traditional drums and later, took part in the event.
