DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh women’s football team slipped eight steps down to 112th in the latest FIFA rankings that published today (Thursday).

The Peter Butter side also lost 1-0 to Malaysia and 2-1 to Azerbaijan in the recently concluded tri-nation series held in Dhaka. The team’s dismal performance has affected the rankings.

Earlier, in the last FIFA ranking held in August, Bangladesh have achieve their biggest progress climbing 24 places from 128th to 104th following their historic qualification for the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup for the first time ever after beating Myanmar in their home soil.

Meanwhile, Spain and USA retained their top and second position respectively in the latest FIFA rankings.
