DHAKA, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS)-East Zone and Central Zone made a winning start to 
the Women's Cricket League (WCL) T20 by defeating their respective opponents 
at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium today.

In the day's first match, Central Zone beat North Zone by seven wickets, 
riding on a 49 ball-60 runs knock from Mst Eva.

Opting to bat first, North Zone pt up 132-3 with opener Sharmin Akter Supta 
making highest 33.

But courtesy of Eva's aggressive knock, Central Zone overhauled the target in 
19.3 overs, reaching 136-3. Opener Ishma Tanjim was the other notable scorer 
with 36.

In the day's second game, East Zone secured a 14-run victory over South Zone.

Taj Nehar scored 46 as East Zone managed to score 121-6 before defending the 
total by restricting South Zone for 107-9.

Fatema Jahan Sonia's excellent figure that read 4-0-15-3 caused the most of 
the damage for South Zone.
