Sylhet dedicate BPL victory to Begum Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, Jan 1, 2026 (BSS) - Sylhet Titans have dedicated their victory against 
Dhaka Capitals in today's Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) game to Begum 
Khaleda Zia, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who passed away on 30 
December in 2025.

The franchise said in a press release that "as a mark of respect and 
inspiration" they dedicated the victory to Begum Khaleda Zia.

The release added: "Team management described the victory as a reflection of 
unity, belief, and resilience, emphasizing that such performances strengthen 
the Titans' ambition to compete with consistency and purpose in the remaining 
matches."

"Sylhet Titans remain focused on building momentum and delivering 
performances that inspire both on and off the field."

Sylhet sit at the second spot of the point table at this moment after winning 
two matches out of three.
