DHAKA, Jan 1, 2026 (BSS)—Sahibzada Farhan hit a half-century to steer Rajshahi Warriors to 159-8 in their crucial Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) game against Rangpur Riders at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Rajshahi, however, will be disappointed with the total, especially after the kind of start they got through Pakistan recruit Farhan and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.

Rajshahi lost opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim cheaply after being sent to bat first but Farhan and Shanto dealt with the Rangpur’s vaunted bowling attack with ease to keep the side on course of a big total.

The partnership was broken after the run-out dismissal of Shanto who made 30 ball-41 with five fours and one six and added 93 runs in 63 balls with Farhan.

Aliss Al Islam then removed Farhan after he hammered 65 off 46 with eight fours and two sixes.

The dismissal of the two set batters in the space of 11 balls jolted Rajshahi so much that they could never recover from it.

Aliss stifled them, ending with 2-16 in four overs while Fahim Ashraf and Mustafizur Rahman did the rest to leave Rajshahi satisfied with a modest total.

Ashraf took 3-43 while Mustafizur returned figures of 1-34.
