DHAKA, Jan 19, 2026 (BSS)— In a bid to return to winning ways, Bangladesh Under-19 will take on New Zealand on Tuesday in their second match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup at Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
The match will begin at 1:30 PM Bangladesh time.

The 2020 edition champions Bangladesh suffered an 18-run defeat against India in their opening match, via DLS method.

Despite being in a strong position for much of the contest, Bangladesh let the game slip after losing their last seven wickets for just 22 runs.

In the rain-affected encounter, pacer Al Fahad claimed a five-wicket haul to wrap up India for 238. Bangladesh was initially set a revised target of 239 in 49 overs due to rain interruptions.

The Bangladesh youngsters reached 90 for 2 in 17.2 overs before rain halted play again.

After a one-hour delay, the target was revised once more to 165 in 29 overs, leaving Bangladesh to score 75 runs in 11.4 overs with eight wickets in hand. However, they failed to get over the line.

Putting the disappointment of that loss behind them, Bangladesh is now fully focused on their clash against New Zealand as they look to revive their campaign.
