DHAKA, March 24, 2026(BSS) - Begum Laila Alam International FIDE Rating Women’s Chess Tournament begins at Chess Federation hall-room tomorrow (Wednesday).

The tournament is being held under the patronage of veteran chess player Begum Laila Alam and organized by the Bangladesh Chess Federation.

The tournament is open to all female and girl chess players. Interested participants can register by submitting their names along with an entry fee of Taka 200 at the playing venue on the match day by 2 pm.

The competition will be held in seven rounds following the Swiss-league system, and the winners will be awarded a total cash prize of Taka one lakh.
