DHAKA, April 5, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Mohammad Rafique as a specialist spin bowling coach in a bid to unearth more quality left-arm spinners.

The decision was taken during the fourth Board of Directors meeting today.

Rafique is touted one of the best spinners the Bangladesh have ever produced.
The left-arm spinner is the first Bangladeshi cricketer to claim 100 wickets in Test and One Day International formats. He was also a handy lower order batter, who entertained the fans with his unbelievable six-hitting prowess.

Rafique will work closely with both emerging and established spin bowlers, contributing his extensive experience to the development of spin bowling in Bangladesh cricket, BCB officials hope.
