DHAKA, April 29, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced that ticket holders will receive refunds after the second T20 International between Bangladesh New Zealand has been washed out due to persistent rain at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium today.

According to a press release, spectators who purchased tickets online will get their money back in line with applicable terms and conditions.

The match was scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM local time, with the toss set for 1:30 PM. However, continuous rainfall prevented even the toss from taking place. After waiting for more than two hours, umpires officially called off the match at around 4:15 PM.

Heavy rain has been affecting Chattogram and other parts of the country since Tuesday, raising concerns well in advance about the possibility of play.

Bangladesh currently lead the three-match series 1-0, having secured a six-wicket victory in the opening encounter.
