Dhaka, Beijing discuss trade, investment ties

DHAKA, April 29, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh and China today discussed trade, investment and other issues of mutual interest during a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon.

The discussion was held when Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir this afternoon, said a press release here. 

During the talks, the two sides reviewed existing bilateral relations and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation in economic and commercial sectors.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Investment and Capital Market Tanvir Gani and Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Song Yang were also present at the meeting.
