Mini School Handball meet begins tomorrow

DHAKA, Apr 29, 2026 (BSS) - Mini School Handball Tournament (Boy’s & Girl’s)-2026” will begin at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium  tomorrow.

State Minister of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest. 

Bangladesh Handball Federation is organizing the event. 

A total of 17 school teams from the boys’ and girls’ category in Dhaka metropolitan city will participate in the tournament. 

In the boys’ category, nine school teams are participating, divided into two groups.
The top four teams from both Group A and Group B in both boys’ and girls’ categories will qualify for the semifinals. The finals of the both categories will be held on May 4 at the same venue.
Grouping
Boys’ categories  
Group A: Sunnydale, St. Gregory High School & College, South Point School & College, Nirjhar Cantonment Public School & College
Group B: Motijheel Ideal School & College, Wills Little Flower School & College, Mitali Bidyapith Higher Secondary School, Motijheel Model School & College, and Navy College, Dhaka.
In the girls’ category, eight school teams will participate also divided into two groups.
Group A:
Sunnydale, Navy College Dhaka, Wills Little Flower School & College, Sher-e-Bangla Girls’ High School & College
Group B:
Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, Motijheel Ideal School & College, Motijheel Model School & College, and Nirjhar Cantonment Public School & College.
