BKSP emerge champions at 5th BKSP Cup U-14 Swimming meet

DHAKA, June 22, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) 
emerged as the overall champions of the Fifth BKSP Cup Under-14 Swimming 
Championship, which concluded at the BKSP Swimming Complex today (Monday).

The hosts dominated the three-day competition, winning 27 gold, 14 silver and 
seven bronze medals from 27 events to clinch the team title. Amla Swimming 
Club of Kushtia finished runners-up with five gold, seven silver and eight 
bronze medals.

In the boys' category, BKSP's Bappi Rahman Rofi and Md Akash of Amla Swimming 
Club were jointly named the best swimmers after each won four gold and one 
silver medal.

In the girls' section, BKSP's Jarin Gawhar was adjudged the best swimmer, 
winning six gold medals.

BKSP director general Brigadier General Mohammad Saif Ullah attended the 
closing ceremony as the chief guest. He witnessed the final events before 
distributing trophies, medals and certificates among the winners'.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the championship would play a vital role in 
identifying and nurturing the country's future swimming talents. He expressed 
hope that such competitions would inspire young swimmers to strive for 
excellence and thanked the participating teams and BKSP's swimming department 
for successfully organising the event.

A total of seventy young swimmers from BKSP and various district and club 
teams across the country took part in the three-day championship, competing 
in thirty two events.
