CUMILLA, July 5, 2025 (BSS) - Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today said as long as fascism exists, their struggle will continue.
“Our struggle is not against fascists, but against fascism,” he told a path rally, organised by Cumilla metropolitan Jamaat unit, on Alekharchar Bishwa Road in Comilla this morning en route to Feni.

Dr Shafiqur said holding a fair election is a long-standing expectation and they do not want 2014, 2018 and 2024-like elections.

“Some such signs are being observed. Our clear message to those who are thinking of such misdeeds is that people have brought change with their blood, and if necessary, we will make the change successful in exchange of blood,” he said.

To this end, he said, this nation does not spare anyone and they will not do so too.

The Jamaat Ameer said from now on, just as students, youth, and workers fought hard in the past to achieve their rights, the youth will have to move forward to make it successful in the future.

“We want to leave a country for the teenagers and young people in a place where they can breathe in peace,” he said.

Dr Shafiqur spoke as the chief guest at two separate path rallies in Cumilla with Comilla Metropolitan Jamaat Ameer Kazi Din Muhammad in the chair.

Jamaat Central Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Mohammad Masum, Cumilla South District Ameer Mohammad Shajahan Advocate, North District Ameer Professor Abdul Matin, Metropolitan Jamaat Nayeb Ameer Mohammad Mosleh Uddin and Professor AKM Emdadul Haque Mamun also spoke, among others.
