Bangladesh receives $226.73m remittance in 4 days

DHAKA, Jan 6, 2025 (BSS) - Expatriate Bangladeshis sent $226.73 million remittances during the first four days of January in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
 
Of this, remittances through state-owned and specialised banks accounted for $82.31 million, while private banks received $143.99 million, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data released today.
 
From July to January 4 of the fiscal year, worker-remittance inflows stood at around $14 billion.
