Tencent shares fall 7% after US adds to list of 'Chinese military companies'

HONG KONG, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Shares in technology giant Tencent plummeted more than seven percent in Hong Kong on Tuesday after it was named by the United States in a list of "Chinese military companies".

Major battery manufacturer CATL, which was also named on the list, sank 5.2 percent in Shenzhen.
