DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS) - The government has imposed a ban on the import of 
e-cigarettes or electronic nicotine delivery systems to protect public 
health.
 
To this end, the commerce ministry today issued a notification.
 
The ban takes effect immediately, as per the notification.
 
This decision follows a government move taken nearly a month ago to restrict 
the import of all e-cigarette-related products to protect public health and 
future generations from their harmful effects.
