Bangladesh, Turkey JEC meeting to be held soon

DHAKA, Jan 09, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh and Turkey Joint Economic Commission (JEC) meeting will be held soon.
 
Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin today revealed it after meeting with Turkish Trade Minister Prof Dr Omer Bolat at the Ministry of Commerce  .
 
Talking to reporters, Bashir said, “We have a JEC and its meeting is scheduled for this year. We aim to hold it soon and discussed how to expedite economic cooperation.”
 
He said the meeting will focus on expanding economic cooperation in sectors like food, health, and industry. 
 
“Turkey has already involved in several projects through the Turkish Construction Association, and we’ve outlined opportunities for their participation in ongoing and future initiatives,” he added. 
 
He said, “We’ve identified key sectors for expanding cooperation and will develop actionable strategies in the JEC to harness these opportunities.”
