National Bank receives 'Top Ten Bank Award'

DHAKA, Jan 11, 2025 (BSS) - The National Bank has received the 'Top Ten Bank 
Award' from the Center for National Board of Revenue (NRB) in recognition of 
its outstanding contribution to remittance collection in 2024. 

The award was presented today during the inaugural ceremony of the year-long 
"World Conference Series 2025", themed "Branding Bangladesh", held at a hotel 
in the capital today.

Md. Touhid Hossain, Foreign Affairs adviser to the interim government, and 
Dr. Ahsan H Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank (BB), handed over the award, 
said a press release. 

Sheikh Akhter Uddin Ahmed, managing director (Current Charge) and Milton Roy, 
head of the Foreign Remittance Division, received the award on behalf of the 
bank. 

MS Shekil Chowdhury, chairperson of the Center for NRB along with other 
distinguished local and international guests, attended the event.
