Delegation to leave for US tomorrow for 3rd round of tariff talks

DHAKA, July 27, 2025 (BSS) - A government delegation will leave here for the United States (US) tomorrow for taking part in the third round of negotiations with the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to reduce the jacked-up tariff slapped on products exported to the US market from Bangladesh.
 
"Third round meeting on tariff imposed by the US is expected to be held on July 29-30 in Washington DC, US," Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman told reporters at his secretariat office here today.
 
National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman, Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin, Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Dr Naznin Kawser Chowdhury will leave Dhaka for the US tomorrow afternoon.
