25.2pc growth of remittance inflow till April 14

DHAKA, April 15, 2026 (BSS)- Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 25.2 percent reaching $1,607 million in the first 14 days of April, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,284 million.
 
During the July to April 14, 2026 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $27,816 million, which was $23,069 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
