PM sends gift items for Hajj pilgrims

DHAKA, April 17, 2026 (BSS)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sent goodwill gifts for Hajj pilgrims.

Dhaka Hajj Office director Lokman Hossain said they have already received the gift items sent by the prime minister for the pilgrims. 

Some gifts are being distributed among the pilgrims after their arrival at the Hajj camp and others will be handed over to them after their boarding in the flight, he said.
The premier will inaugurate this year’s hajj flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport tonight.

The gift items include mineral water, backpacks, ihram soap, water containers, petroleum jelly, miswak, and Ajwa dates, Lokman said.

A total of 78,500 pilgrims from Bangladesh will perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia this year.
