Community Bank ties up with Flora Systems for Islamic Banking

DHAKA, June 18, 2026 (BSS) - Community Bank Bangladesh has entered into an agreement with Flora Systems Limited to implement an advanced Islamic Core Banking Solution, marking a significant step toward strengthening its Islamic banking operations through modern technology.

The agreement was signed by Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh, and Subodh Kumar Bhowmick, Chief Technical Officer of Flora Systems Limited, at the Bank's Head Office in the capital's Police Plaza Concord, said a press release today.

Senior officials from Community Bank Bangladesh, Flora Systems Limited, and Police Headquarters were present at the signing ceremony and witnessed the occasion.

Through the implementation of this solution, the Islamic Banking Wing of Community Bank Bangladesh will be able to provide fully Shariah-compliant banking services through an integrated and technology-driven platform. 

The system is expected to enhance operational efficiency, facilitate real-time transaction processing, strengthen digital banking capabilities, improve Shariah-based fund management, accelerate investment and deposit processing, ensure greater transparency, and reinforce data security.

The initiative reflects Community Bank Bangladesh's continued commitment to expanding its Islamic banking footprint and delivering efficient, secure, convenient, and ethical financial services to its valued customers, added the release.
