3 die in Narayanganj road accidents

NARAYANGANJ, Jan 1, 2025 (BSS) - Three people were killed and five others injured in two separate road accidents in Rupganj upazila here this morning.

Police said two people died on the spot and three others were injured in the Hatabo Jalapara area under Bhulta union of the upazila when a private car got onto the footpath as its driver lost control of the vehicle.

The deceased were Ram Das, 70, and Obaidul Munsi, 70. Both of them were the residents of Hatabo-Atlaspur of the upazila.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

In another accident in the same area, a man died on the spot and two others were injured when a motorcycle collided head-on with a brick-laden trolley.

The victim was identified as Hridoy Mia. The injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
 
In-charge of Bhulta Police Camp sub inspector Zahir Miah confirming the matters, said police arrested private car and trolley drivers.
