2 youths die in Cox's Bazar road crash

COX'S BAZAR, Jan 2, 2025 (BSS) - Two youths were killed as a bus hit their motorbike in the Thaingkhali Bazar area under Ukhia upazila here this afternoon.

The deceased are Liton Gazi, 18, son of Anis Gazi of the Khaliskhali area in Satkhira district and Abdur Rahman, 18, son of M Rafiq, a resident of Ukhia Rohingya camp-12.

A Teknaf-bound bus hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction on the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf road around 1 pm, leaving two bike riders dead on the spot, said Mahabul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Sahapori Highway police station.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue.
