Month-long flower festival to begin from saturday in CtG

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 2, 2025 (BSS)- A month-long colorful flower festival will begin from Saturday (January 4) at the green and water-filled Faujdarhat DC Park in the port city.

The largest flower festival of Bangladesh is going to be held  in Chattogram for the third time. It will be a wonderful gathering of joy, culture and tradition.

Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam informed the details information of the flower festival while briefing the journalists at the DC Park adjacent to Faujdarhat area this afternoon.

She informed that Chattogram district administration is going to organize the country's largest flower festival this year. The DC Park has been decorated with various flowers in different aesthetics across an area of 196 acres of land. At least 136 species of domestic and foreign flowers including Dahlia, Chrysanthemum, Rose and Marigold will be on display in the flower festival.

Cabinet Secretary Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid will attend the inaugural ceremony of Chattogram Flower Festival 2025 as chief guest at 11 am on Saturday while Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Dr. Md. Mokhles Ur Rahman and Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram Dr. Md. Ziauddin will attend the function as special guests.
