Youth held with 34-kg deer meat at Koira

KHULNA, Jan 3, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested a youth with 34 kilograms of deer meat from Kalna Bazar under Koira upazila of the district today.

Police said they arrested Iqbal Moral, 30, hailed from Kasimnagar village under Paikgachha Upazila red-handed with the meat and a motorbike around 10.30 am.

Imdadul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Koira Police Station, said a case has been filed with the police station in this connection.

As per permission given by the Koira Upazila Judicial Magistrate Court, the meats were destroyed after dumping those into soil. The arrested person was sent to jail through the court.
