Missing trader found dead in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) - Police recovered the body of a businessman from Charruhita union under Lakshmipur Sadar upazila last night after four days of his missing.

The deceased was Md. Parvez, son of late Abdullah Khokon, a resident of Ward No-2 of Shakchar union of the upazila.

Being informed, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body from a paddy field around 10:30 pm, said Officer-in-Charge of Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station Abdul Monnaf.

Parvez left his business at Jabbar Master Hat Bazar for home on the night of January 31 and had been missing since.

The next day, his brother Md. Faiz Ahmed filed a missing complain with Sadar Police Station.

The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Further legal action will be taken after investigation, the OC said.
