MAGURA, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) - With the slogan "Let's Change the Country, Let's Change the World," the award and certificate distribution ceremony of a national-level Hifzul Quran competition was held today at the auditorium of Magura Parnanduali Model Mosque and Cultural Center aiming to build a new Bangladesh.

A total of 36 Hafizs participated in the competition in three groups from four upazilas of the district. Among them, 9 contestants, three from each group, have qualified for the divisional-level Hifzul Quran competition.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam was present at the event as the chief guest with Muhammad Mojib Ullah, Deputy Director of Magura Islamic Foundation, in the chair.

The chief guest emphasized that memorizing the Holy Quran is a profound responsibility, and those who have completed Hifz are truly blessed. He noted that the Quran is not just for memorization but for implementation in daily life. Such competitions, he added, inspire the younger generation to pursue Islamic knowledge and nurture morally upright, ideal citizens.

Muhammad Mojib Ullah said there is no alternative to Quranic education for spreading the glorious message of Islam. Hafizs are the bearers of the Quran, and it is our duty to ensure their due respect and necessary opportunities.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Mahbubul Haque, officials of Magura Islamic Foundation, teachers from various madrasas, parents, and distinguished guests were present.

At the end of the ceremony, prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners.
