RANGPUR, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) – On behalf of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Kutubpur union BNP distributed blankets among cold-hit people in Kutubpur union of Badarganj upazila in the district today.

Member-secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan BNP Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don distributed the blankets in a function organised by Kutubpur union BNP at Kutubpur in Badarganj upazila as the chief guest.

Presided over by Joint Convener of Badarganj upazila BNP Uttam Kumar Saha, Senior Joint Convener of Rangpur Metropolitan Jubo Dal Jahir Alam Nayon, Joint Convener of Mithapukur upazila BNP Anwarul Islam Nayon and Kutubpur union BNP General Secretary Md Shahidul Islam Lebu attended the function as special guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don said that ousted fascist Sheikh Hasina continues conspiring against Bangladesh from India in different ways aiming to destabilise the country.

“On the other hand, the peace-loving patriotic people of the country are prepared to foil all conspiracies being hatched by ousted fascist dictator and mass killer Sheikh Hasina to safeguard independence and sovereignty of the country,” he said.

He said Sheikh Hasina's fascist regime deprived the people of their right to vote for more than a decade and a half. The people now want to elect their representatives by exercising their right to vote, he added.

“After completing the necessary reforms as soon as possible, the interim government should restore the voting rights of people and hold the Jatiya Sangsad elections to maintain stability in the country,” he said.

“Tarique Rahman thinks about all people even when he is abroad. Being Tarique Rahman's soldiers, we will stand by every person in Rangpur in times of trouble and need,” he said.
