One held with 500-gm heroin in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - Joint forces have arrested a drug peddler and
recovered 500 grams of heroin from her possession during a drive held in
front of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital here.

The arrested was Dulali Begum, 50, wife of Jaynal Abedin hailed from
Madhabpur village under Dinajpur Sadar upazila is an active member of inter-
district drug trafficking ring.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint forces team led by the Bangladesh Army conducted
the anti-drug drive in front of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital at 11.30pm
on Tuesday, said Officer- in- Charge (OC) of Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station.

Multiple cases have been filed against her as she was convicted and already
imprisoned. But she resumed drug trafficking after getting bail from the
court.

The joint forces drive is going on for arresting the cohorts of the drug
peddlers.
