One held with yaba tablets in Gaibandha

RANGPUR, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an
alleged drug trafficker with 399 pieces of Yaba tablets from the New Bridge
area under Sadar upazila in Gaibandha district on Tuesday night.
 
"On a tip-off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-3 of
RAB-13 from its Gaibandha Camp searched the body of a person there and
arrested him with the contraband Yaba tablets from the spot at 9:40 pm," a
press release said today.
 
The detainee was identified as Shree Chayan Kumar Barman, 32, son of Shree
Vulkurm Barman, of village Dakshin Ghaghoya Kathihara under Sadar upazila in
Gaibandha district.
 
"The elite force handed the arrested person over to Gaibandha Sadar police
station for further legal action," the release added.
