6-day women entrepreneurs' fair begins in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - A six-day women entrepreneurs fair was 
inaugurated on the premises of the district Shilpakala Academy today.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Zahirul Islam formally inaugurated the fair 
around 10 am at a function as the chief guest.

The fair is being held under the supervision of the district administration 
and with the support of the project to develop women entrepreneurs in 
economic implementation at the grassroots level of the Jatiya Mohila 
Sangstha. 

Superintendent of Police Khandaker Golam Maula, Additional Deputy 
Commissioner (General) Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director of Local Government 
Sharmin Akhter, District Information Officer Shilpi Mandal, Convener of the 
district branch of the Anti-discrimination Students' Movement Aslam Hossain 
Ark, among others, were present at the event.

A total of 37 stalls have been set up at the fair. Various 
types of pitha, puli, payas, fashion houses, puthi-made products and 
handicrafts made by the women entrepreneurs are being displayed at the stalls.

The fair will be open from 10 am to 8 pm.
