HABIGANJ, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - An auto-rickshaw driver was killed as a pickup 
van hit his rickshaw on the Mirpur-Sreemangal old highway here this morning.

The deceased was Md. Morshed Mia, 50, a resident of the area.

The accident took place around 11 am when a pickup van hit an auto-rickshaw 
in the area, leaving its driver Morshed injured critically, said Zahid Hasan, 
officer-in-charge (OC) of Bahubal Model Police Station.

The injured was taken to Habiganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor 
declared him dead.

Police visited the spot and legal action is being taken in this regard, the 
OC said.
