GAZIPUR, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - Three people were killed in a road accident in 
Noapara Moisheer area under Kaliganj upazila of the district this morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred on the Joydebpur-Itakhola road when a vegetables-laden 
pickup van fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the 
steering, leaving three people including its driver dead on the spot, said M 
Alauddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station.

Police recovered the bodies.

Efforts are underway to identify the deceased, the OC added.
