CHATTOGRAM, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS)- A devastating fire gutted 11 shops in Kazirhat
Bazar area under Fatikchhari upazila of the district this morning.

Uddin Chowdhury said the fire broke out from an electric short-circuit at a
shop around 7:15 am and quickly engulfed the adjacent shops.
 
Being informed, two firefighting units from Fatikchhari Fire Station rushed
to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control around 9:15am, the
source added.

However, eight shops were completely gutted while three others were partially
damaged.
 
Chowdhury said the extent of damages in the fire is approximately Taka 10
lakh.
